Sliding Door Tutorial

Okie my 1st tutorial, dont laugh and if ya get stuck just ask.... Here goes

1. Open new. I do mine at 450 x 150
2. You can add a background picture or one of your own ( i made this one ages ago)
3. Create new layer and fill with any colour ( i use black )then get your polygon laso tool and make a shape simular to this Click Here then go to edit and cut.
4. Create a new layer and fill with another colour.. then drag it under the black layer.
Click on the black cut layer and select wand tool.Select all of the black area with wand
tool, then with that selected, click on your other colour filled layer then edit and cut. Click Here
5. Now click on your black layer and go to blending options.
Add drop shadow ( default )
Bevel emboss ( default )
Colour overlay.. pick a colour you want your doors to be, then set to darken.
Do this to both layers. Then set both to lighten on your layers box.
You should have something like this.Click Here I used a deep red colour, (if you use black in the colour overlay you wont see the background)
6. Now switch to image ready, in your animation window click on the 0secs and change it to what ever speed you want. Duplicate the 1st image frame, click on your coloured layer and slide it all the way to the side then do the same with the other coloured layer now click "tween" on the animation window, i left it at 10. Now you have 12 frames in your animation window.
7. Click on the 12th frame and go to tween again, click the Tween With and change it to First Frame.
8. Now click play in the animation window and there ya have it ....
I have my 1st animation frame set at 1sec and the rest at 0.1
9. Go to file and saved Optimized as.
You "should" have something like this

P.S let me know if i done something wrong...

Thanks for adding Wenchie. I had a go at it and it explains everything really well. I am so proud - my first animation via Imageready wd

Re: Sliding Door Tutorial

Ok i had to give it a go, P.S. i like the Kalidescope plugin

I started with this red one, i made one night an could not figure out how i made it, than i changed it to gold, than i used the Kalidescope plugin to move everything just a tad, an added the eye, than i made a new layer, an did a full blown spin with kalidescope an made the door, i than used the polygonal lasso to cut 1/2 of the door away, than with that 1/2, i copyed it an flipped it horizontaly, so now i have 2 1/2's the same size. than i just used the tuteral.

It was fun, Thanks i love it
