Simple tutorial

Open a new transparent file 640 x 480 pixels.

Take notice that your background and foreground is standing on black and white.

1. Go to Filter --> Render --> Clouds
2. Go to Filter --> Render --> Different Clouds
3. Go to Filter --> Render --> Lens Flare (Brightness 100%, 50-30mm zoom]
Place 5 Lens Flares (one in each corner and one in the middle)
4. Go to Filter --> Blur --> Radial Blur (amount 65, zoom, good)
5. Go to Layer --> Duplicate Layer and give it a name
6. Go to Edit --> Transform --> Flip horizontal
7. Go to Layer --> Layer Styles --> Blend Mode (Hard Light)
8. Go to Layer --> Merge Down
9. Go to Layer --> Duplicate Layer and give it a name
10. Go to Filter --> Disort --> Twirl (350)
11. Go to Layer --> Layer Styles --> Blend Mode (Overlay)
12. Go to Layer --> Merge Down
13. Go to Layer --> Duplicate Layer and give it a name
14. Go to Filter --> Disort --> Twirl (-350)
15. Go to Layer --> Layer Styles --> Blend Mode (Lighten)
16. Go to Layer --> Merge Down
17. Go to Image --> Adjustments --> Hue/Saturitation (put a cross on colorize, Hue 215, Saturation 50)

Thats it

I obviously like it since I made a sig from the background of my effort. See my 'nooblet creation' thread for a pic

What I do is use colour balance to add colour to things.

Hm normally it shouldn't be a prob to make this tut in photoshop 5.
If you have probs with it then you can allways ask me for help.

btw i sucked at making graphics too when i first entered the forum but look at them now a lot more improvement! You will get there too, just keep hanging on and make lots of tuts!
