I have finally got the BluePearl IRC server up and running

irc://irc.bluepearl-chat.com

Too access this server u will need a IRC client. Here r the 2 popular ones, i use x-chat.
Mirc - http://www.mirc.com/
X-Chat - http://xchat.org/

For people that want to access the IRC server nice and easily u can join using a web applet built into this site. http://www.bluepearl-design.com/foru...y.php?page=irc if u get errors or a red X u will proberly need to download Sun Java from here http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp

Me and my friend m0c, still have a few things that need to be ironed out. but these will be sorted in the next few days.

The bluepearl-design room is called #bluepearl-design

Other design communitys feel free to create your own rooms as well

dont see a reason to use it, already use msn and aol

Yep, there's more ppl to play with.

and you can say stuff the peeps will read it later if they are 'afk'. mirc rules

Step 1. d/l mirc
2. got to file / select server / add

press ok

Next bit is click on 'connect' option on the list. (at the top)

You should get something like this .. Insert your details. Not your full name just some bogus thing like boofhead or moron or something lame or your mum (thnx hybrid).

Put in your email addy too. I have mind blocked out for privacy reasons cos I don't share my ISP email addy with alot of folk and I need it to register with oz.org when I was an op in another channel.

I think that's about it for the main stuff to get on the servers. ohhh I know one more thing

Go to Options / perform

and type in this
/join #bluepearl-design

Every time you connect to the server it will auto put you in #bluepearl-design

Once you've done all that you are ready to roll (i think lol)

Go to file / connect

i think its ok. but u have to find a time that every1 is on. thats wut why i prefer message boards from chats. but its deffinetly chat over message boards wen all ur friends are on. quick & easy.

Easily fixed, move countries.

We live in diff parts of the world so there will likely be someone on when you are on .. maybe not so much now but when the peeps start coming in.

I just completed the IRC page for BluePearl Design, this page will make it easier for people without IRC clients to access the bluepearl IRC server.

tonight i decided i am going to close the bluepearl-chat irc server.

The server will be gone in about 3-4 days
