I have been playing with the board but these bugs have been there before I added any mods.

hmm never seen that before, i suggest contacting vBulletin® - Instant Community and putting in a support ticket for the developers to check it out.

This is not a problem with your templates but vBulletin itself, u installed any language packs lately?

Yes but this was even before that I just didn't get a chance to get back here and report it.

I contacted Vb and this is what they wrote:

Hello,

From what I can tell this was caused by an addon that inserted custom phases which are overwriting the default phrases. I've gone ahead and removed what I could find. Let me know if you find others.

I am glad they told me this but what does it mean? I know it is not from your template but maybe you can explain it better to me and what I could do? If you are busy I do understand.

Sorry for the late response,
It means that u installed a custom hack via the plugin manager which also installed custom phrases which over wrote your current ones.

It seems that vBulletin support fixed the problem for you, are u still getting the weird characters on your site?
