We take an idea that comes into our heads and layout it in a design program. There are a number of programs out there for designing, such as...

--Adobe Fireworks 8
--Adobe Photoshop CS and CS2
--PaintShop Pro

Id personally recommend Fireworks for Web Design and Photoshop for pretty much everything else, such as graphics and photos.

atm, i'm trying to figure out how the gimp works... it's a nightmare if you always used photoshop, lol
