Post Icons

the icons that appear as an option to post when posting a message in my forums appear simply as words (describing the icon) and not the icons themselves. I loaded the icons for both Darkness and BP Grey to the appropriate folders to each style on my site /forum/Darkness/icons like I am suppose to but they dont appear and when I right click to view properties of the word that appears in place of the icon it says that it should be linked to http://auto-focus.us/forum/images/icons/icon*.gif

So how do I correct this? Do I load the icons from each style into a folder under forum/images/icons? If so how does it know which ones to use for each style? or do I rewrite in the Style Manager code somewhere to direct it to the proper style/icon folders? If so how do I do that?

Have u tried uploading the icons to the normal default directory (forums/images/icons) instead of the darkness image directory (forums/images/Darkness/icons) ?

I was thinking about doing that, but then wont they stay the same when the user changes styles?

You would set the image paths under Stylevars to the directories with your new icons.

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> << Your custom style >> -> Stylevars (on all style options -> Image Paths.

hmm they are all set to the correct paths, there isnt one for that path though (just for icons)

I guess Ill just pick one I like and make it work for all of them

Having diferent icons for different styles in vBulletin is a real pain the butt, me personally didnt even bother changing the icons for each template.

It would be alot easier if vBulletin allowed u to set the image paths in style manager like all the other image paths.
