Hi everyone, I just launched my new website yesterday, and am spending a little time spreading the word and reviewing everything that I have used to develop it. The site is http://www.runicgamesfansite.com, and we just relaunched it yesterday. I wrote a long post about it over on the vbulletin.com Pre-Sales forum ( http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...in-4-My-review ), and in it I mentioned BluePearl. Here is the quote:

Quote:

The theme is a modified version of BluePearl Design's free VB4 Darkness style ( http://www.bluepearl-design.com/forums/content.php ). Despite being free, I was impressed with the altered header and the nice borders surrounding the site. It makes the site look different from a lot of the VB4 themes out there, but it also proves that the complaints I saw about VB4 being less customizable than VB3 were off the mark. The service I got when I had trouble customizing the theme was also great, despite that this was a free product. If you want a custom theme developed, I suggest going to BluePearl Design and having one made for you, or else modifying something they already have available for free.

Thanks for the excellent service, and I hope my recommendation gets you a few more customers.

One dark night in the small town of Garfield , NJ, a fire started inside the local sausage factory. Soon the building was engulfed in flames. The alarm went out to all the fire departments for miles around. When the first volunteer fire fighters appeared, the sausage company president rushed to the fire chief and said, 'All of our secret sausage recipes are in the vault in the center of the plant. They have to be saved, so I will donate $50,000 to the fire company that brings them out and delivers them to me'. But the roaring flames held the firefighters off.

Soon more fire departments had to be called in because the situation became desperate. As the firemen arrived, the president shouted out that the offer to extricate the secret recipes was now $100,000 to the fire department that could save them.

Suddenly from up the road, a lone siren was heard as another fire truck came into sight. It was the fire engine of the nearby Lodi , NJ volunteer fire department composed mainly of Italian firefighters over the age of 65. To everyone's amazement, the little run-down fire engine, operated by these Italian firefighters, passed fire engines parked outside the plant, and drove straight into the middle of the inferno.

Outside, the other firemen watched in amazement as the Italian old timers jumped off and began to fight the fire as if they were fighting to save their own lives.. Within a short time, the Lodi old timers had extinguished the fire and saved the secret recipes.

The grateful sausage company president joyfully announced that for such a superhuman accomplishment he was raising the reward to $200,000, and walked over to personally thank each of the brave elderly Italian firefighters.

A TV news crew rushed in after capturing the event on film. The 'on camera' reporter asked the Italian fire chief, 'What are you going to do with all that money?''Wella,' said Chief Pasquale De Luccinellavanti, the 70-year-old fire chief, 'de fursta tinga we gonnna do isza fixa de brakes on dat fockinna truck!!'

Hello

I am trying to change the header of future black to have 3 parts, but I am struggling with what changes to make.

Firstly I have created a new skin using FutureBlack as the parent and have called it TOGABlackFluid.

I have changed the header-back.png for the one I will be using and that tiles across the top ok.

I have also uploaded my left side and right side images for the rest of the header, but I have no idea how to find the 'bluepearl-design-logo.png' in the style vars and change it to my left.png image for this new style. I can't just replace that logo file because i have fixed width versions of FutureBlack (also child styles) which use that image as the whole header.

I also need to work out how to add style info for the right.png and get that in the header.

Here is my forum at the moment with the fluid skin im working on:
http://www.theoldgitsarmy.com/forums...php?styleid=15
