Rep Power: 5 | Does photography count? lol After we picked up my granddaughter and son in Moss Point, MS following Katrina, we had to go to our storage to see if there was damage and to get a few things of my son's. Anna, my granddaughter, and I sat talking outside in the truck, and since I never go anywhere without my camera... http://www.autumnwhisperstome.com/annaseptember.html

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Does photography count? lol Thanks, Hobo. Most of the sound clips I get are from FlashKit: http://www.flashkit.com If you click on the link that says "sound loops" you can find thousands of clips.
My favorites (the ones I usually stick to) are:
Calpomatt (he's THE best, IMHO) His site rocks! http://calpomatt.lavista.org/
Jakob Koter
Edgen
Jay Berlinski
Lee I. Garnett
Asim Kahn
Djrima
Urbanlex
And Will Musser: Will's stuff is often not free, but sometimes you can find it as shareware or linkware if you use the loop on a non-commercial site. Will Musser's stuff is quite professional, but Calpomatt's is too.
Also, if you search through the Ambient, Soundscapes, and look for "soft" toned music (you'll see that title in the listings) then you'll find sounds like those on my pages.
Good luck in your search there, Hobo, and if you have any questions, just ask. Flashkit is a FANTASTIC site, but it can sometimes take a bit to load. However, the wait is SO worth it! |

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Does photography count? lol they're working now.. maybe there was a server problem when you guys checked? Also, if you have the new version of Zone Alarm, they won't load. I had to go back to the standard, stupid Windows firewall because I couldn't get images anywhere to load with ZA.
Let me know if you still can't see them. |

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Does photography count? lol Hmmnn.. interesting. I'll look into it and see what it might be. I know some friends locally can see them, so not sure what's what. I couldn't see them at first either until I figured out it was my firewall. I was told that firewalls are becoming more agressive against this and that, and ZA is definitely one that is. No problems with the old version, but the new version... it was blocking all sorts of images everywhere.
BTW, are you getting "nothing" or do you get red 'x's on the page, or what? The files are high quality so family can download and print them. Maybe they're just taking a while to load? They load fast for me, though.
Thanks for the welcome back. |

. | zone alarm: that shouldn't block any images, unless they want to intrude your pc.
windows firewall: IT SUCKS! |
