New Logo for Son's Pics

Does this look to junky? I found a diamond on the net and edited it, but messed that up when erasing some of the sorounding material. Is it that bad. And I don't much like the flashing logo name, but nothing else seems to look right with the Jasc options. Just looking for feedback and some 'what I can do's' for improvement. Thanks all.

If it just looks to junky, the critisism won't bother me, I'm new at this so all helps. His sig is Crystal, INK., and I chose diamond cause that's his birthstone.

looks good, but the out side of it might need some more blending

I tried to round them out more, but couldn't see the pixels well enough. If I take it to paint, the depth changes and pixels become even more so vivid.

Watcher, you are so creative, the text in your example is absolutely beautiful; it's probably something my son would like more than my poor attempt at cursive.

I have the stone you put above, but didn't think it had enough color like a diamond does when it shimmers. Also, I have this last pic of a square, semi-flat cut with chisels lying about it as if it had just been cut, but erasing in Jasc is quite the effort without erasing much of the outside edging. Here it is if you think you could/would work with this.

My trial versions are gone of both programs, so all I have now is what I've completed as of yesterday; some crappy looking wallpaper n other gems I found on the net but unedited.

Oh, now I know he'd like number 4 or 6.... probably 6 due to the lightening. I have a couple abstracts he sent me a few days ago, but can't do much w/them since I no longer have the programs.

Going to try to scan the one, cause it's highly unusual design, but, when I scan it wants to pick up the background noise of the scanner. I'll see what I can do with it and post it.

Ya know, I never got notice that you posted back on this. Strange. I've been a tad busy, but usually check my mail each day.
