New banner/sig/whatever

In those long days that BP was down I managed to find time to goof around with PS7 and learn a few things. This is now my banner for my site (which I know needs much work) and for my forum (which has all of two members, 1 post and 0 purpose) as well as my sig.

If anyone can suggest a way to round off the right top and bottom corners I would appreciate it. And I'm not crazy about the left side at all. I was trying for a comet's tail sort of effect and that's what happened.

I'm not sure if this is what you were talking about in regards to rounded edges, but i usually go by this tut found on Absolute Cross if it helps?

lol I replaced the pic of Hank with a avatar I made. :P Thanks for that tut link. It covers mostly PS5 (I use 7) but it still had SUPER info I can use. I 'm amazed at how much I've learned about Photoshop and it seems I still haven't even scratched the surface.

unless that white back ground is part of a layer you cant get rid of i was thinking making it transpairent, if it is cut the white away an that should leave it transpairent, an no one will see it

That's what I get for not proffing my posts.

This one is huge but this is how it looks before I upload to photobucket. For some reason it alters my .png uploads about half the time. Thanks for the pointer still. That green sig is fantastic.

btw Kate, that tut wsa absolutely what I needed but since I didn't make the graphic using paths there's nothign to grab with the direct selection tool. basically I did it wrong from step 1. lol But at least now I know a better way to do things in teh future. Thanks much. That's exactly what I love about this forum.
