Deformed? Zoom up as much as your camera possibly can, and see if you can take a picture with it holding it as still as you can. anything zoomed close to it will be screwed, farther objects don't get blured at all on the camera.

only... tripods are no use for the cam we got now, it distorts colors, and almost alway's shows blurry hehe stupid ass cheap cam

Mine is originaly $1400, but I bought mine with a little crack in the camera so I got it for $800
