i just got maya 8 for animation, to bad modo and it don't talk at the moment, i'll have to find out if there is way of importing modo scenes into maya.

strange how c4d doens't support linux. the maya i have has instructions for instillation with linux so maybe you could try maya. blender is very capable and i know that and there is a ton of tutorials to get you started fraggy.
Oh man did I **** up on linux.... I do run Beryl with a whole bunch of mods to it smoothly though. Kinda sucks having to reboot everytime i wanna goto 3Ds Max but thats not a problem anymore since my second hardive totally died. Oh and I thought you could use WINE to use some windows apps for linux
