On the radio this morning they mentioned plasma screens and how alot of ppl don't realise with plasma screens you need a sound system as they don't come with speakers.

that is why plasma's need amps

. most plasma's have only one AV input and this makes it hard to add more than one appliance to your tv etc DVD, Playstation, Pay TV.

My parents have a Projector in the entertainment room and when i plug my pc into the RGB input i get a 3 metre picture

pretty sweet for gaming, but u need to be about 3 metres from the screen , because projectors dont look too good at close ranges.

our plasma has 2 av ports for a dvd n pay tv and have to compoants ports( amps , sound system ) and some plugs for monitors n ****

We have a projector and have movie nights outside against the white sheet nailed to the fence lol. Hubby thinks it's a big thrill. Also Wilson our cat finds it amusing trying to pounce on things that moves. If I find a pic I will post it of him stretching up to grab something on the projector screen thingy pic.

btw .. we don't have an 'entertainment room', we have a lounge room. Is that the same thing or are your parents very posh and have that extra room

Nah the entertainment room is not my loungeroom, but the room at the back of my house which has the bar etc
