Download Resource Hacker (RH)
copy explorer.exe (C:/WINDOWS/) and name it backup_explorer.exe. Place this in another folder (doesn’t matter wich one)
Use RH to open explorer.exe (the original one)
Open this:
String Table -> 37 -> 1043
There you find line 578:
578, “start”
Edit “start” to what you want, there’s no limit on the amount of characters.
Click “Compile Script”
now save as “explorer1.exe” in your windows folder Then go to your registry settings (run: regedit)
open:
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon”
Alter “Shell” to explorer1.exe
Reboot
