How to update your custom style without losing any changes you made

I have had alot of people ask me about how to update their skins without losing any of the changes they have made to the templates.

The best way to do this so you dont waste all your hard work everytime you update is to create a child style like below.



Once the child style is created like in the picture above rename the child style to whatever you like and deselect the main style like in the picture
