Need help and there's no where to ask

me thinks me wana write a tute on this, lol

(you could just do it this way

make the text.
rasterize it
cut out the text, but keep everything
put the textlayer on the bottom, and the leftovers from your cutting (the background of your text) on top.
then yo make a layer between it, and make ur sparkling thingy's there?

only an idea lol

just right-click ur layer and you'll see what to do, lol

lol I did that but anyway I figured out how to do it with ps and imageready. Now my only problem is I'm told I'm supposed to save the whole thing in imageready not ps but it wont let me save as a gif or save for web. Just says to save as psd.

save as psd, and open it again in photoshop, there save for web.
that should fix ur problem

Okay I got it all done and did what you say by saving it then saving it for web in ps as a gif...BUT it doesn't move!!

once you rasterize a layer you can't change the text again. My advice would be to make the text layer like frag said and then duplicate it and rasterize that layer so if you screw up and don't like it you still have your original text.

Edit : oh well you don't need that .. but with the text you have did you use anti-alias and select one of the options that makes the edges of the text more smoother, cos it's very jagged.

ok,thennormally you would have a save ir export thingy in that other program... forgot the name, lol

I got it all figured out. Took some time. Thanks for the help. I'm incredibly new to all this just learning how to use CS....oh well. thanks again.
