I know in XP there's an option to "roll back" the driver to it's previous version. Wouldn't that fix any crash problems??

that doesn't work EVERY single time.

but, yes that could do it.

mine just resets the settings to the previous ones before the crash.
automatically, so you don't have to reboot instantly, & can save what you were working on.

with rollback; ur pc crashes, you have to reboot, and ya don't have time to save what you were working on. then you can perform the rollback after you rebooted.

Hmmn. don't want a crash. lol I'm working with someone at a Toshiba laptop forum. Looks like I have to uninstall the driver and reinstall the new one... I think both have to be done in safe mode. MAN this is so confusing.

try deleting the driver completely and rebooting your pc?

When your pc next reboots it will automatically try and reinstall the driver
