The big "oh no, have to update" topic phpBB

Okay---my hosting company waited too long to get back with me about installing my site backup, so today I said to heck with it and uninstalled my board, then reinstalled. MAN what a lot of work that is.

Now I'm faced with needing to update again. I'm NOT doing it through Fantastico this time, and there's a link in my forum admin for the update, but there are so many updates I don't know which one to download!

Options are like full update, patch, and something else---what should I do?

Also, once I download the update, what do I do with it? Someone on the phpBB forums installed manually and had the same problem I did after using Fantastico to update, so I don't want to have to start all over again.

Help?

PS.. I started a new thread because the other one was so long, and I'm basically starting over with this install, etc. ***sigh*** AND... all my boards have different versions of phpBB

older versions, most of them.

why r u upgrading on a new install?
Like i said on your other post, Dont use fantisco, goto phpBB and download the latest phpBB and then install it.

I already installed.. ((( blushing ))) The new install is still behind on the upgrade, though newer than the board on my other site. I can't just download the upgrade and install that? There's a few options, but I don't know what to choose... and now I'm not sure of anything. lolol I was born lost....

phpBB 2.0.15 [ Full Package ] and choose the ZIP version.
