phpBB question regarding "guests"

I noticed that my forums are set so that people can post when they're not registered. Is there a way to change that setting? I looked around and didn't see anything in the configuration about this.

In the admin section just change the usergroup permissions

or something like that, it should be there!

ok, i'm using SMF instead of phpbb cuz it's easy, and can do way more!!!
(still free -> www.simplemachines.org)

normally the interface for the administration should be the same

thanks, Frag. I don't want to go through the whole uninstall and install process. I wouldn't even know how to install a BB anyway. Fantastico does it for me, which is why I have a board to begin with. lol

SMF was on my fantastico on my website

it kinda has everything in it you can even think off!!
exept non-free things offcourse

It's on mine, too, but it was a hassle when I had it before so I went with phpBB.

once the settings are set (wich are way to many of em

) the forum owns...

it only takes an hour to do the settings... so

after that, it's up & running perfectly

it doesn't even need a database if you don't wanna use it!
("flat file database")
