iframes :: for or against?

Okay... a link with a target set to "_blank" when placed inside an iframe will open a page in a new window.

A link with a target set to "_blank" when placed anywhere else redirects the current page to the link location.

are u naming your iframes and then using the target command to load new pages?

For example ill post some pages from a site i did using iframes.

<iframe src="ceramics-buttons.php" name="buttons" width="145" height="393" noresize frameborder="0"></iframe>
<iframe src="ceramics-icons.php" name="icons" width="533" height="393" noresize frameborder="0"></iframe>

and then in the buttons page the links should look like this:

<p><a href="ceramics-statues.php" target="icons"><img width="100" height="65" border="1" src="port/statues.icon.jpg"></a>

griffin, she means outside the iframes, to load a whole new page, not inside the iframes, i explained that to her already.

(atleast i think that's what you mean autumn)

Yeah, it's really weird. In other words, imagine a page without any iframes at all and setting the links to target="_blank". Now, when you click on those links... the page just loads the new page instead of opening a new one.

Weird, huh? But that's what's happeng for some reason.
