Rep Power: 5 | Easier "visual" way to edit css? I have permission to modify a theme, but for some reason SMF won't allow the CSS modifications from inside the admin area--even though there's an option. Is there another way to edit the CSS and see the changes as I go?
Right now I have to guess at what I'm changing, change it, upload it, then reload the page online. I'm using a test forum for this, but it's a LOT of steps, and I don't really know what it is in the CSS I'm changing until it's done. I think this is making the job about 10x harder than it has to be and taking far more time than it should.
My head hurts. |

when ya figure out the theming, by taking the classic theme, and looking inside the files, it's quite easy & well explained
(just like the CSS file)
---
btw, i've been looking, but i havent found the big diff. between Vbulletin & SMF
(exept for the skins)
so, tell me wots the diff? |

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Easier "visual" way to edit css? Ah. Nothing wrong with that. I thought maybe there was something I should know about SMF. lol I do like the features, etc. so far. The smileys are going to put me in an early grave, but other than that it's cool.
Wish they'd come out with better themes though. |
