Rep Power: 4 | Fustration In Sliced Template I sliced this template right? And now its not allowing me to streach it (expand)
-I sliced the images to what i know is my best slicing, and took the longest time.
-problem-
The images are'nt doing what i want them to, i placed. I made it so that only the sides of stuff has to expand, and its not working.

well, tbh, it's going to be easier after i look a bit better at it to take it all apart, and script it manually back together.. theres too many to fix in the code to get it right.. sorry that i have to say it like this. |

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Fustration In Sliced Template yeah have to agree with Fragalot, but Interactive none of us coded perfect when we first started off. Practise makes perfect.
As for slicing, try printing your image onto paper and then with a ruler draw lines like u would be cutting it out, keeping everything rectangular and inline. Once u got a rough idea how your going to slice your site, then think about cutting back on images and using repeatable backgrounds to increase loading times etc |

Rep Power: 9 | Re: Fustration In Sliced Template sean, i just slice it in photoshop, take the images, get rid of the html created by photoshop, and then make the html myself in PSPad or areaneae (<- i keep misspelling that one!)
if i see an image can be repeated, i make sure it does, maybe use CSS to determine the direction and set some other stuff, ..
also, if an image is a solid color, use the HEX or rgb value (or just "green" ) to replace that image, this speeds up the site a bit more, and lowers traffic use. |
