Re: General Question about VBulletin

Thanks heaps for that the advice Sean, I managed to get the Shoutbox and also the smilies. I had some friends of mine who did save the smilies from the old site so I will implement that sometime in the near future.

However there is one more thing I do have to ask, if I wanted to monitor new registrations made in the near future where I would approve them or not. How can I configure that so only me can monitor any new registrations?

Good news bud

To moderate new members goto your ADMINCP and then vBulletin options --> user registration options --> Moderate New Members

Re: General Question about VBulletin

Well I got the template working and the forum seems alright but I noticed the 'Marked as Read' and 'View Forum Leaders' is not mentioned on the template.

Is there a way to customise it to have it shown?

Also just a general question about the header (top) of the template where the banner is, I seem to find that there was one minor issue I had. Everytime that the window shrinks on your web browser, it does not show the whole banner. Is there a way to fix it so the image always fits in? Just thought I ask.

Re: General Question about VBulletin

Yay for the website that is still almost nearly done.

Hey guys, I have a question about the top banner (image), is there a reason as to why the thing is like larger than 1400pixels wide?

Whenever you minimise it, the table closes in a little bit and goes over the text. Is there an alternative way to fixing the top banner to make it suit whenever the Web browser page readjusts?

Re: General Question about VBulletin

Well for example, a user who is using a monitor with 800 x 600 resolution might see like half of the top banner, rather than seeing the whole thing.

For me however, having a widescreen is awesome and all as I get to see the whole banner with the name of the forum etc.

Whereas people who have a small resolution or people resize the Web Browser page to see only partially of the banner. Just wondering.

Re: General Question about VBulletin

Yes this is a problem with this template which i have yet to find a solution for except to create a banner that is long enough to fit most browser sizes.

When this style was released 1900x1200 resolutions were unheard off, so i made the header image 1400 pixels wide.

If you have a wider screen than 1400 u can widen the image to 1900 but remember that the file size can be very big.

I have had one idea where i would fix the background image and then have a second simple background image but this would not look so good i reckon.

As for the name of the your forums added to the header banner, i suggest adding the text to the left hand side and mininum of 800pixels across
