Ah Ubuntu messed my PC up!
Help me!...

I booted by Ubuntu disk and it ran cool.. then my PC didnt work w/ XP...
(Monitor wasnt working)

now i got it to work but the res isnt right.. im using a different cord (different type)

please tell me what i can do? I think ubuntu screwed the XP up.. and now my Screen Res is messed up.. I wana use the other plug cause it was supposadly better quality and better for my gfx. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP SINCE YOU GUYS USE XP AND LINUX!

You used the livecd? Which version of ubuntu? and I doubt the live cd screwed up your XP

Or the headaches of Windows. It would be funny if you could brake your windows graphics driver just put inserting an operating system that uses your cd/dvd drive

Lol.. ever since i inserted the Ubuntu Linux Live CD (Demo/Install) and booted to try the CD my Windows has been screwing up. Its horrible.. My monitor has been giving me problems and just 5 minutes ago my PC wouldnt even start
I did get it all to work. I replaced the type of cord for my Monitor to PC (its not VGA) and i had to take the computer apart and put it back together.

but could it of been the Linux? lol. Because if it was then im not even going to attempt to install it on my other half of my hd..

No, because linux live cd's do not touch your windows partitions unless you mount the NTFS filesystem to your ubuntu, then go in and start deleting things to screw it up. Looks like you have a coincidence of some sort.

Although I would say don't put ubuntu onto your other harddrive anyways.. go with Gentoo....... The pains of installing gentoo lol

mike... ubuntu DOES mount the NTFS filesystem by default....

that's why i only touch Gentoo.
