Problem using bluepearl with vba.

In the VBA options for page creation, I wanted to turn of the nav bar (I only want it shown on the forum pages, not the home page, etc). However, when I turn it off, all sorts of bad things happen to the tables/frames/divs/whatever...

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Re: Problem using bluepearl with vba.

You will need to close the tables at the top and bottom of the navbar template and maybe the header template

Re: Problem using bluepearl with vba.

I can't figure out where to do this.... could you give me more guidelines?

I created a test page with this enabled and one without them enabled and figured out that there were some table code missing in the one without.:

<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td width="30" height="50"><img src="http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/bluepearl/misc/t1.jpg" border="0" width="30" height="50" alt="" /></td>
<td width="100%" height="50" class="t3"><img src="http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/bluepearl/misc/t2.jpg" border="0" width="64" height="50" alt="" /><img src="http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/bluepearl/misc/tforums.jpg" border="0" width="122" height="50" alt="" /></td>
<td width="24" height="50"><img src="http://www.mysite.com/forums/images/bluepearl/misc/t4.jpg" border="0" width="24" height="50" alt="" /></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="30" class="t5"></td>
<td width="100%" bgcolor="#5C71CA" valign="top">

however, adding this in the beginning of the php file doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I've been struggling with this for a couple weeks. PLEASE help.

Re: Problem using bluepearl with vba.

..wait.. are you saying that I need to go into the style editor and edit your templates? If I close the tables inside of the navbar and/or header... won't that cause there to be an extra table close wherever you closed them?

Re: Problem using bluepearl with vba.

I figured out a way around this last night. I made a new skin that was a child of the original blue pearl skin... in that skin, I edited the navbar template, and removed the entire table that contained the navbar. On pages where I don't want the navbar, i used this skin instead.

If there is an easier way, let me know? For now, it at least looks right on the user end.

Thanks.

Hey mate sorry for the late reply, yes the best way would be to remove the table in the navbar which starts the border and the table in the footer which ends the border.
