Rep Power: 4 | do any of you know a good. or cheap VPS host? I basically want a host, that i can put my own domains on my own DNS.
er..
like this..:
Not a reseller but with Reseller functions, i just want my one cPanel and the choice of adding more on if i wish to resell.. But i need it pretty low cost... nothing like the $50/month kinda deal.

your looking at anything between the price range of $30 to way higher. anything lower and you run the risk of getting screwed. |

Rep Power: 8 | Re: do any of you know a good. have you tried HostGator? I used to have a reseller there and it was really nice.
i also have to recommend MOSSO :: The Hosting Cloud - Home
very nice options, but again it all depends on how dedicated you are. |

Rep Power: 4 | Re: do any of you know a good. I've attempted like i've said, so i have my plans on paper... about 5 different ones actually.
It includes Features, How support would be done, Pricing and how to make a profit through the amount of space and how much to charge.... Im like 100 % dedicated, but people keep telling me to do reseller (i dont like that idea, cause theres no where to expand to)
I figured you guys are freaken awesome, and would be of great help..
Mosso looks awesome btw... im thinking hard about that $100/month.

Rep Power: 8 | Re: do any of you know a good. A reseller is not as bad as you think. One great thing about a reseller is if you run out of space all of the major people you buy one from will increase the amount of space you need as you go.
Not only that but lets say you use godaddy. You buy a reseller, sell out all of the extra space, GoDaddy will not only add more space for you but you always have the options of transfering everything from the reseller onto a dedicated server if the reseller can no longer handle all of the accounts.
Since the reseller is nothing more than a large hosting account it is all hosted on the dedicated server you will soon buy after you fill the reseller. Buying space is not the hard part, the hard part is how do you set your self apart from the hundreds of thousands of other large and small hosting companys. |

Rep Power: 7 | Re: do any of you know a good. I absolutely DESPISE godaddy. I've had nothing but trouble with them when it came to nameservers and hosting and charging me. which as a reseller at the time looked bad on me. If you want to get into hosting and not be a reseller, I would pick up a dedicated server, and then add cpanel x to it. Usually you have to install apache and php and mysql all seperately. It's up to you. If you don't want that hassle, just be a reseller. |
