Cwalkerz - Hacking Threat Recieved

Sean,

Recently I got a threat that a member reported someone was going to attempt to hack the site. I was wondering if you could just check for unauthorized access to the site (Lots of failed logins, etc) for a little while.

Is it possible for these people to hack the site? I have a very secure password for my FTP, login on cwalkerz and the cpanel.

Your FTP and CPANEL is very secure if u have a good password.

The person threatening you is proberly more likely to hack your forum than your server configuration. the best advice i can give u about your forum is to have it up to date with the lastest version of vBulletin at all times.

You can check server logs via cpanel.

Yeah, allot of the exploits are cross-site scripting vulnerabilities that only work on the older versions of vbulletin. And most of them are script kiddies who get tutorials from a site like milworm and they don't actually know how to hack your forum without tutorials or someelse showing them how to.
