Angry anyone here use Opera?

I can't seem to stay logged into BP with Opera for some reason. When I get an email notification and I click on the link, I have to sign in each time, even though the remember me box is checked. Doesn't happen in IE, though.

Re: anyone here use Opera?

Really? dang, I never noticed that! I know it doesn't recognize the bgsound code. Some of the web pages I frequent have that code and the sounds never work with Opera.

Is Mozilla the same as Firefox? I tried to use Firefox once, and it made my pc slow to a crawl from the minute it was installed... both on and off the internet. I uninstalled and all was fine.

What's Mozilla like?

Re: anyone here use Opera?

Hmmnn. Weird. I wonder why it slowed everything down so much on my machine? I mean it was awful. I also read about Firefox having way more vulnerabilities than what most people think, how stuff can go through Firefox and get to IE.

Opera's really fast, too... is Firefox like that for you? As I mentioned, it was nothing but slow for me, and slowed down my entire machine.. so I was just wondering how quick it is compared to IE and Opera?

Re: anyone here use Opera?

I just read that Firefox doesn't support ActiveX. I know that a lot of AX isn't good, but some sites need them, like Trendmicro Housecall online virus scanning, etc. Do you notice the lack of ActiveX support to make any web sites impossible to view or use? Curious....

I also read that they've discovered a 7yr old vulnerability in Firefox... have you heard about this? What's the deal with that? The only info I can find on it is that they don't have a fix for it yet.

Re: anyone here use Opera?

Griff... can you recommend a safe download location for Firefox? I may give it another try. There's so many sites to download from that I want to make sure I'm downloading from the right (safe) one.

So far I've seen: www.firefox.com www.mozilla.com www.firefox.org.. and the list goes on and on.

Re: anyone here use Opera?

LOL Okay, I've got Firefox. What do you think about Thunderbird? Have you tried it? Believe it or not I BOUGHT (stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid....) Incredimail a couple of years ago. That stupid program ate all of my system resources, locked up my computer on a daily basis.... I HATED that thing!

I use OE right now, and it's fast and easy. Is Thunderbird as fast, etc. as OE?
