You're probably referring to the startup folder, but that only lists "some" programs. In my case it lists only two, but there are others that start up at boot.

was only a wild guess

cuz i found out that was the problem for me

it took 8 minutes to start those at booting

now it's only 1 minute

I can go into msconfig and see what all starts at boot, but the startup in the programs section only lists a couple of things. It just WAY ticks me off that even after uninstalling that program it was still on my machine, still loading at boot, and still launching even though it wasn't the default player. rrrrr!

lol, i've got the same problem with apache (localhost)

can't uninstall them, because they arent on my machine
(even when doing "apache -u - n" in the console)

but they do boot on startup.
can't shut em off in any way, exept deleting the files, and cleaning my registry...

but i don't feel like doing that anytime soon...

It can cause stupid errors to pop up too when you have to uninstall manually, unless you know what to delete....which I don't. lol

ask the guys @ the microsoft forum and always have a uninstaller program if u going to do anything to your registry.

by hand.
first, i don't trust microsoft @ all

and i want it to be done good, not only half.

what you do for yourself is alway's done best (well, mostly (a) )

autumn, if you clean them out of your registry aswell, the computer thinks they were never even installed

I did clean out the registry---this is why I say "quicktime is the devil." lol
