so my site is being completly redone (my clan's site) soon i think. do you think getting VB wud be a good idea for the forums and homepage? is it a waste of money for a clan

imo it is, for an clan i would personally take something free...
phpbb is good enough for an clan. only the security isn't perfect...

SMF's security is good, but SMF is hard to set all the setting the first time, there are just so darn many functions.

other forums i don't know

I would recommend MyBB Just do a google search for it. Currently, it's at 1.0 RC 4 and it's an awesome free forum. =o

It looks that same as phpbb.. I thing YB would be a waste of money.. I mean.. By the looks of your sig site.. it looks like you can provide them with a nice website.

Its only about $100US a year which is about $2 a week.

If you have a clan which u think will last a longtime i would recommend using VB and no other forum

myBB that damn admin panel is made way to hard

you know how much trouble it costs just to install an theme?
SMf: show where the zip file is, and ti does the rest (even chmod)

mybb: show where that file is, change that setting, look for that one.. :s

Myself, I haven't poked around the MyBB admin panel, but I have poked around the SMF one.. Just a little hard to understand. O_O
