actually, i think that linux is going to be used alot more when the new windows comes out...

because, half of the functions, linux has, and it nearly doesn't use that much of your cpu..

Ok guys, Ive backed up everything I want to keep ready for the reformatt on Monday.I have my genuine XP pro ready to go, the question I now have is this.When I commence the clean out, will the reformatting procedure clean the DOS and BIOS ( I aint got a clue what I just said) and everything else that needs cleaning with the re formatt??

When u choose the option to format when reinstalling windows everything on that HDD will be removed. This will not effect your bios though.

BIOS needs to be reflashed by the manufacturer.
DOS will be removed tho. but when you install windows again it 'l be back.
