Try the simple fixes. Defrag and Disk Clean Up. If that does not work then yoy might have to try and reboot your computer.

erm.. with windows you kinda have to reboot every day if you wanna keep it at a descent speed windows' memory management is terrible..

my pc:
11:41:11 up 44 days, 13:43, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

True that, and if u think windows XP memory management is bad, you should check out Vista memory management lol, it leaks alot. I proberly reboot twice a day. mfg:

Vista should have a better one..
caching as much as possible, and clearing when needed.

but that's what i heard.. my personal opinion is the same as yours
