Re: Blackberry vs. Iphone

You really think that Apple products are better? There are more than 2 known viruses, i think you should do some research on that matter.

Also what is the point in making viruses for a system that no one uses?

Do you know why you can have Microsoft programs on your mac? It's because people like Microsoft products. Apple knows this. No one wants to run Mac products on there PC because there is no need for it. None at all.

Where are all the games? I buy a "Super Powerful" Mac to do what? Why should i spend so much money on this machine when its only good for photoshop and creating videos? Which Windows can do as well.

Where is my second mouse button? Why do i need to go out and buy a whole new mouse when my PC that i bought already comes with one?

Also isnt Apple getting sued right now because they stole the word "Mighty Mouse" for there new mouse? Im pretty sure thats in the news right now.

Not to mention why can I not customize my mac? Where are all the goodies I can go buy to add on to it? But I guess that goes back to the fact that there is nothing i am going to buy that will push the system to its max.

Didnt Apple start using PC parts? Wasnt that a PC thing like Intel? So if macs are the greatest why did they decide to use something PC's have been using for years on end?

Look back in time to the point where Microsoft gave Apple money to keep them afloat.

Microsoft and Bill Gates have done so much for the world in all ways including technologies that have been created as well as AID that has been given to people and countries all over the world.

As for Vista I have not had a single problem at ALL. It all comes down to user error. If you know anything at all about computers you will not have a single problem. I think Vista is great and I would not go back to XP at all.

Besides Apple is a different type of company than Microsoft. Apple makes computers and Microsoft makes software for computers. Thats how they started. There is a reason why more people have windows and its because its better. There is no way someone can say other wise because if it was not true then Apple would have the number one sales in computer software and Microsoft would be in second place. People just like Windows better.

Re: Blackberry vs. Iphone

muha ha ha....

Apple is gaining speed, thats why they are actually letting a company produce Computers with their Operating System, Vista has a TON of flaws that i've already seen on my Laptop. M$ wasnt the one donating, it was Gates, You CAN Customize your OSx (my friend did on her Mac), You can play all the "hip" and "top noch" games on a Mac As well...

Microsoft has failed Epicly with Vista.. They should know not to throw Linux and Mac OSx into a messy program. Thats why people are Downgrading soo much, Microsoft actually announced that they will discontinue it even tho the majority of people still want XP....

As for the AID, M$ gave it to Apple because they knew that without Apple, than there would be no competition, which means that they would have to break the company to abide by U.S Laws.. without Apple back in the day, Microsoft would be a monopoly.

Big deal about the "mighty mouse" lawsuit, wasnt Sony sued over the Duel Shock? and with a MAC do you really need a second mouse key? just use the shortcut on the keyboard. You'll get used to it, just like you got used to it on the PC..... Seriously, i've crashed my MAC in school a total of 2 times in 2 years... on the PC's, its more than 50 times a quater...

Re: Blackberry vs. Iphone

Okay, Have been reading about this:

And every research I have done says blackberrys are the way to go!

when recieveing an email on your blackberry the message is downloaded immediately and an LED on the phone notifies the user that he or she has a new message.
The iPhone, on the other hand, recognizes new messages at most every 15 minutes and must be checked actively to see if anything has arrived.
That sounds pretty S*** to me.

Also:the iPhone does not synchronize calendar and contact information wirelessly!

There is my rant

Agree with Wasahobo as well. I have never had any issues with Vista. Runs smoothly on all our comps

Re: Blackberry vs. Iphone

Im with LC in the fact that Vista is very buggy, ive personally installed vista on a few computers and bought one computer with it pre-installed.
The laptop i bought came with Vista already installed and we have not had any troubles except u need to reboot every now and then to free system resources. On the other hand my main desktop which i use most of the time i removed XP a few months back and installed Vista and had nothing but problems.

Ive done alot of research into PDA's lately and im going to get the new Blackberry Bold when it is released in Australia in the next few weeks. Apparently it owns all im not a fan of the iphones and their more for fun use anyways, Blackberrys are better for business's

Re: Blackberry vs. Iphone

I want you to name one up to date game that i can play on the mac that did not come out for the PC like 3 years ago?

Everyone wants the right click button. I dont want to press a button on the key board all the time. Doesnt matter if i will get used to it, i shouldnt have to because Mac thinks they are to cool for it.

The missing link in digital photography

It's amazing! Apple has invented a program called iPhotos that will revolutionize the way we look at digital photos. Hear what they have to say: "Simply drag your mouse, and iPhoto magically grows or shrinks your photo thumbnails. So you can view individual shots in detail or see hundreds of photos on the screen at once...".
Maybe mac users are new to digital photos on the computer but on the pc we have a huge variety of freeware that does the job of iPhoto and more, to choose from. So when Apple says that they are "the missing link in digital photography"maybe what they meant was that iPhoto is the missing link of the Mac.
Windows users reached that stage of evolution ages ago.

Your own digital entertainment center

It seems that Apple thinks that they've revolutionized computing by developing mediocre software for viewing digital photos, editing video, burning CDs and DVDs and listening to music. Well they haven't!

It's built for the internet

Apple makes a huge point about the easability of configuring an internet connection on a mac. All new Windows versions come with just as easy to use guides for connecting to the internet with modem, lan or anything else. They also brag about such obvious tools of communication like email, favorites and contacts. Yes Apple, this is really new and hot stuff, you are indeed innovative. Or maybe not.
The worst part might be that they lie about their under average video-plugin Quicktime. This might be one of the worst programs ever to install. Actually if some students at a university needed an example of a really poorly written program, this would be a perfectopportunityfor Quicktime to step into the limelight.

Office is Office, and then some

Yes, the mac comes with Office and this is why you should make the switch from a pc to a mac: "The transition to a Mac is easy in part because you’ll continue using the same applications you already know"
Ask yourself this: Why would I switch when It's the exactly same on the mac? -Beats me. Apple does speak of some mysterious features in this sentence:
"And thanks to exclusive features, the Mac versions improve on their Windows counterparts"
As you might expect they mention nothing on what these features are. Well they're probably just wonderfully, perfectly and amazingly non-existent!

man i hate Apple LOL

lol Ive noticed

I dont own a Mac or plan on doing so, but they are not that bad - they have their good and bad points like the OS they use i reckon kicks ass but the software that comes with it is very dated and looks dodgey in my opinion.

And even though i dont think Mac will ever outdo the PC u have to admit Apple is owning the MP3 and now the PDA market. They must of made more money from their (i) series than from all the desktops and laptops they ever sold. Everyone i know owns either a Ipod or now a Iphone.
