new Windows XP installation w/ sp2

Well, i just bought the LAST Windows XP that my local BestBuy store had.. and truble is araising..

1st it was the fact that Windows XP Installation had found an error with the CD..
2nd was that it couldnt gather certain information OFF the cd.
3rd was my fault actually, i lost my Motherboard CD's and gfx (i found)
4th was my ATI had encountered an error kinda deal

But its still kinda nice, i bought the legit one, not from an OEM.. Did not get it from DELL or with another comp store. I love the fact that i can actually use my 300+ hard drive :P

Re: new Windows XP installation w/ sp2

well they can sell their existing supplies, but Microsoft said they will stop shipping them to Retailers... you can buy an XP from OEM's like Dell, but its really Vista with a mask.. and it cost's the same as the high-end Vista... i'll stick with my XP untill im forced to abandon it.

Re: new Windows XP installation w/ sp2

Luckily ive got my old retail XP SP2 disks, and even though they can stop supplying retailers they cant stop supporting XP with updates for a long time to come.
