new site

This is what I'm doing lately. Hoping to add some PHP elements to it later on (OMG help me!). Just finished the core HTML and CSS about 10 minutes ago so it's not done. The javascript and CSS3 didn't validate but the rest of it looks like it does.

Re: new site

This is your personal portfolio am I correct?

1. Take out the Google Adsense.
- You having the ads on your site will help move people away from your site in general. You are pretty much risking a high paying job for like .04 Cents. Plus it makes your portfolio less actrive.

2. I like the scrolling mini portfolio. Pretty cool touch.

3. I would increase your font size at least one more Pixel. People find it hard to read. I lost out to one client a couple days ago because of it. I sent him to my web site (local client) and he had trouble reading it because we was on a old monitor. Again the reason i am redoing my site design.

4. The google search bar is pretty much useless on your site. No offense or anything but your site is not large enough to where they are going to need to use a search bar to find something.

Over all i like it. Very nice, I would personally to try more on selling your designs and not so much trying to make money off from Google.

Re: new site

Thanks for the c&c. No offense taken, hobo. In fact, you're the second person to tell my the font size is a tad small. This is exactly what I needed to know.

Re: new site

the only c+c i have is imo the scrolling preview bar needs to be longer/bigger, and in the top left hand corner inbetween the 's' and the 'mmd' logo there's abit of white going over the 'border', hope you understand all that.
i dont want you to think i dont like it because apart from that i think it's pretty good mate.great job.

Re: new site

Thanks slappy. Glad you like it. The little overlap of white tells me you are using Internet Exploder. Unfortunately, Micro$loth feels they are not responsible for CSS3 web standards. lol In other browsers you'll see a rounded corner. Sorry about that. If anyone has a fix for rounded corners in IE I'd be greatful for a nudge.

Thanks for the c&c though. I'll take another look at the scrolly thing and see what I come up with.

Re: new site

Hey sohl, haven't seen you in awhile..

I like it, but i disagree with Slappy with the stroller.. I like where it is. I do agree that there is a bit too much white for me. lol, i just hate bright colors.
Its a great template, very clean cut and all that, and i love it, i just don't like the white. oh and the lines seem like theres alot, but its not a problem looks like it goes with the template..

Great template.

Re: new site

I kinda have to agree with them about all of the white, but it does not bother me as much.

My only problem is how small the font is. I think that is what may cause you some problems in the long run.
