just checking back folks, forum is now up and running and almost there.

Had fun today as I had a 400 member 15000 post phpnuke site and I have ported it over to vB via a phpBB2 forums and managed to retain everything (just forgot to delete the custom ranks first but didnt take too long to sort).

If anyone ever needs to take this sort of conversion on, dont be scared to give me a shout.

You need to update your vB from 3.5.0 to the latest version.
These script based forums are updated for a reason and that reason 99 times out of 100 is security.

I didnt do my updates and I got a phonecall from the FBI representative of ebay in the USA asking me why I was running a PayPal phishing scam out of the back of my website. Also turned out I had an irc server in my cgi bin as well. This was where someone had hacked the vB scripts where I hadnt updated.

Scripts are only as secure as they are updated and I advise you to update to the latest version. Luckily I know my host and he didnt cut me off even though he got major grief for this as well. He now runs a zero tolerance policy of turn sites off first and ask questions later.

Your vB licence will cover you for all versions if your licence is current from what I can see.

If you look at a post on my site, for instance...
Anyone seen this in the news - R3Gaming

I cant get the bit in the top right of each post to be any lighter The bit that contains Jion date etc.

Can somoene point me in the right direction as to which bit of the style sheet to edit?

my guess is it's something to do with the postbit, but since sean made this theme, more assistance should come from this side
